This National Reconciliation Week, we reflect on the theme Bridging Now to Next, and what it means to build a more inclusive future.
Since 2023, we’ve proudly partnered with Pirrpala, a 100% Aboriginal-owned and operated engineering service provider based in Perth, led by Leon Oriti.
Our partnership is a two-way collaboration – Pirrpala provides constructability and site-based support; Agilitus provides engineering design and secondment opportunities, including Leon’s ongoing role as Senior Project Manager.
As Leon shares, “Building local capability and supporting meaningful, long-term Aboriginal engagement is just the start. It’s about empowering communities and shaping a future where everyone thrives. Reconciliation is in the hearts, minds and actions of what we do.”
A passionate advocate for inclusive STEM pathways, Leon is also on the Board of Directors at Engineering Aid Australia, which helps First Nations youth explore engineering careers through mentoring programs.
Reconciliation is everyone’s business. For us, it’s part of how we work, who we partner with, and the future we’re shaping together.
