Beyond Document Handover
What happens when Document Control, Engineering, Quality, Information Management and Digital Delivery professionals come together to challenge the status quo? Great conversations, practical insights, and a shared vision for the future of project information management.
Recently, Agilitus hosted the latest Document Control Working Group event, “Beyond Document Handover: Connecting Projects, Systems and Operations”, bringing together industry professionals to explore emerging technologies, evolving project delivery requirements, and smarter approaches to information handover.
We were proud to collaborate with Oracle Construction & Engineering, Convex Engineering & Services, and Preolas, whose presentations sparked engaging discussions on progressive information handover, system integration, and how organisations can unlock greater value from project data throughout the asset lifecycle.
A key theme of the workshop was moving beyond the traditional “box at project completion” approach to handover. Instead, organisations are increasingly looking to integrate and transfer information progressively as projects develop, improving operational readiness, reducing data loss, and creating a more connected information ecosystem.
The strong level of participation, knowledge sharing and open discussion reinforced the importance of collaboration across disciplines and organisations as our industry continues to digitally transform.
This event also marks the third year that Agilitus Lead Document Controller, Sixian Yip, has facilitated and grown the Document Control Working Group initiative. What began as a forum for industry engagement has evolved into a valuable platform for elevating the Document Control profession, fostering collaboration across clients and engineering service providers, and promoting greater consistency in information management practices across the industry.
A sincere thank you to our guest speakers, industry partners and attendees who contributed their expertise, experiences and ideas. Together, we’re helping shape the future of project information management and operational excellence.
