Mount Morgan Primary Crusher Vibration Assessment

Structural assessment and remediation of primary crusher facility to address vibration-induced failures without disrupting production.

Following the commissioning of the Mount Morgan Gold Mine, several structural failures were identified at the primary crushing facility. Agilitus was engaged to perform an independent structural assessment and recommend remedial measures to mitigate the risk of future damage.

Working alongside ALS, who conducted on-site vibration monitoring, Agilitus identified high-risk areas and developed a strategy that allowed Dacian Gold to address structural concerns without interrupting production.

Our specialist engineers delivered detailed engineering and design for the brownfields structural remediation, progressing the design to Issued for Construction (IFC) stage. Agilitus also provided full project delivery support, including:

  • Estimating, planning, scheduling, and procurement on behalf of the client
  • Procurement management
  • Construction management of subcontractors during execution

“In gold, the greatest value lies in how well a plant performs over its life – throughput, reliability and cost per ounce are priorities.

What sets our Process team apart is where we influence those outcomes. The flowsheet is where we determine how the plant will fundamentally operate and that shapes everything that follows: the equipment, the layout, the structures and the ongoing operating costs.

Strong early decisions benefit the entire project, which is why we embed with our clients from the study phase – and stay with them through ramp-up and commissioning to reach their plant’s optimum name plate throughput – drawing on the overall expertise of the team.”
