Parker Point Stockyard Sustaining – Marine Offloading Facility (MOF)

The three existing reclaimers in operation at the Parker Point Iron Ore Export Terminal in Australia’s Pilbara region have reached the end of their useful life and require replacement in order to sustain operations. Bechtel is the engineering, procurement and construction manager (EPCM) for the project. The project scope is to progressively demolish the existing machines and replace them with new reclaimers. The new reclaimers will be transported to the site via ship, and arrive via a Marine Offloading Facility (MOF). Agilitus, in conjunction with Bechtel, has completed detailed design for the MOF on the Parker Point service wharf causeway. This included significant earthworks to remove existing armour, placement of temporary material suitable for piling, installation of precast tieback walls and fender panels, and working within the narrow causeway bounds to create temporary work platforms to access the work fronts.
